I have always had a fascination and love for photography. My formal training began with film in the darkroom. Now, I am working with digital imagery. I feel the same magic come alive when I open an image in Photoshop as I did working in the darkroom.

Much of my digital work is influenced by the psychedelic pop culture images of my childhood. Using richly saturated colors with an emphasis on luminosity I create a somewhat surreal image.

My images begin with a photograph that I have taken in the RAW format. I then begin producing multiple layers with various filters and effects applied. I paint the effects in and out from the various components of the image to create a unique artwork image.

Occasionally I find an image that stands alone in conveying a feeling of mystery and wonder. I honor those images by doing only the necessary editing to bring a RAW image to the printable platform.

I want the viewer to look at my work and wonder where these magical beings and items are.

I love to photograph landscapes, cars, motorcycles, and nature. I live in a little piece of paradise that is close to a natural beach and wildlife sanctuary as well as Daytona Beach with it's Bike Week and races. I also entertain myself late at night with Abstract Imagery and digital artwork created using compositions of digital painting and photography.

My work can be seen in person at The Downtown Gallery in Titusville, Fl (335 S. Washington Ave., Titusville, Fl 32796), as well as various businesses and establishments through out Brevard County through the Brevard Cultural Alliance's Art in Public Places Program and the Central Brevard Art Association.

I am currently an active member of the Central Brevard Art Association, and Professional Photographers of America.

LK made a a unique and custom print for me that looked absolutely amazing in the end. LK's input into the design helped bring my idea to reality.

I have been so blown away by the process of working with LKPhipps's creative mind and watching a concept I envisioned only in its infancy come to life and develop into such a personal piece. LKPhipps was so timely in her response after I presented my idea - within our first communication she was already presenting me a sample! I love that she just took my idea and started running. LKPhipps was very professional and was such a warm and personable spirit to work with. She was also incredibly accommodating of my requests to add or change things to my piece. I LOVE the final product that from conception of my idea to actually receiving my piece took only a week due to LKPhipps's hard work and focus in completing my piece by the short deadline I needed. I STRONGLY recommend LKPhipps's services!!!!

It was a pure pleasure to work with LKPhipps. The project was unique in nature and nothing she (or anyone I found) had done before. Great communicator and the end result was super cool. This will be something that hopefully hangs in my sons room for 15 years! Thank you!
